These final dimensions gave a calculated volume of 0.215 m³. The four sides of the box were made in laminated jarrah, a beautiful Australian hardwood, which is especially plentiful in Western Australia. This was made for me by a first-class, local timber and joinery factory. The front and back baffle boards were made of 18 mm laminated marine ply. The internal bracing utilised a couple of broom handles cut to size, (yes broom handles!) whilst on the internal back wall, I bonded lead sheeting. Finally, The speaker box was filled with sound absorbing kapok. The fine tuning ports were inserted and cut to size by a local speaker manufacturing company, KRIX audio.
